Local Sayulita activities around the village can include mountain biking with Lorenzo through the winding jungle trails, saddling up on a horse with Rancho mi Chaparrita, or checking out the new zipline tours located just south of town. You can also just take off on a hiking trip of your own to explore the local surroundings, nature and views.
Sayulita is home to one of the world's great creatures - the humpback whale. From Mid-December through early April, these waters are filled with magic, as the humpbacks come here to calve. You may see baby humpbacks - a glorious sight. You almost can't go on a boat ride during these months without seeing the whales breaching (jumping) near your boat.
A more relaxed day can be spent meandering amongst the village shops where one can find handicrafts from all over Mexico and even from other countries around the world. A few art galleries have even opend their doors in Sayulita last year.
Punta Mita, Lo de Marcos, San Pancho, Playa Chacala and Puerto Vallarta are all great daytrips from Sayulita and each town offers its own versions of fun and interesting adventures to add to your Sayulita vacation. |
