Named Casa Chololo after the small hermit crabs that scurry around on the beach, the house features panoramic views of the small fishing village of Sayulita, as well as the Pacific, from every room. Bougainvillea, hibiscus and a papaya tree line the steep steps that take guests into the hillside residence. A 1/4-mile walk takes you to either the beach, the village or a dense tropical rain forest.  The patient observer can spot whales migrating by in the winter or dolphins playing in the surf. Upstairs, guests can sunbathe on the large open deck or party under the giant palapa that shelters the outdoor kitchen. The upstairs kitchen features a gas grill perfect for grilling the locally caught catch of the day.

The house is furnished with 4 queensized beds, linens and fully equipped kitchens. A small round thatch-roofed balcony downstairs off the kitchen/dining area is a great place for bird-watching and spying on the family of giant iguanas that live in the trees next door.
